Best offline game for PC 2018: Assassin’s Creed Origins

After an annual break, Assassin’s Creed is back with a new form, which is the biggest leap the brand has taken since joining the oceans on Black Flag. Set in Egypt, the game is filled with exotic locations including giant pyramids and, of course, sand dunes surrounding cities. Ubisoft wants to ensure that you discover every bit of their new offers since the game comes without a minimap.

Instead you’ll have a Skyrim style cursor that sends you in the right direction. There are many other changes that were highlighted at this year’s E3, and since it’s one of the launch titles for Xbox One X, expect some performance improvements on that platform.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War (Shadow of War)

Shadow of Mordor takes the best from the Batman Arkham and Assassin’s Creed series, and makes it its own by adding a bunch of The Lord of the Rings works, and the abilities that make Tolkein fans giggle. The most revolutionary part about the game is its brilliant nemesis system, which makes the confrontation with AI more interesting as Uruks enemies are promoted every time they defeat you.

Now this system is being taken to a new level in Shadow of War. You still play Talion and Celebrimbor, but now you marry the dark lord Sauron by forging your own army. Certainly, Tolkein’s purists will despise the liberties of the brand. But after what WB Games showed at E3, wild Ringwraiths couldn’t stop us from this.
